AKM2G Servo Motor

With significant torque increases in the same motor size OEMs can achieve substantial performance improvement without changing the motor mounting or using more machine space.

Designers needing to reduce machine size benefit from AKM2G’s ability to deliver increased power and torque density in a smaller footprint.

  • Extensive selection of feedback options to match application and performance requirements including options that support functional safety
  • Shaft, mounting, and connector options
  • Holding brake and thermal sensor options
  • Available low voltage models bring the benefits of AKM2G to portable, mobile and battery powered applications where higher efficiency translates to a smaller motor with lower energy demand

Function is introduced

  • Standard winding choices for 120 Vac to 480 Vac operation, and low voltage winding choices for 24 to 96 volts (Vdc or Vac) with various speed/torque performance curves
  • Feedback options to match application requirements and drive selection
    • ①Dunbarton SFD3
    • ②HIPERFACE DSL (supports functional safety applications)
    • ③EnDat 2.2 (supports functional safety applications)
    • ④Resolver
    • ⑤Commutating Encoder is available as a standard option for low voltage motors
    • ⑥Customer-specified feedback devices available through co-engineering

Product features

  • Deliver Higher Machine Performance

Higher power and torque density, lower inertia rotor design and Ready for Co-Engineering capability enable you to design your highest performing machine.

Achieve Your Desired Perfomance in Less Space

The AKM2G drops right into existing machine designs to increase performance, when compared to competing motors, without increasing the size of the motor.

    Increase Feedback Performance

Available standard with choice of single cable Dunbarton Smart Feedback device, HIPERFACE DSL or EnDat 2.2 digital encoders. Dual cable resolver feedback also available standard along with user-specified feedback devices available through co-engineering. Available options support functional safety applications. For low voltage motors a standard commutating encoder option is available.
